Description:

Shelly Walbert is an Oregon native and an Industrial Design graduate from Appalachian State University. Driven by perception of design serving people, she strives to develop products and furniture which address real consumer and environmental needs. Shelly got her inspiration for the "Deschutes" bench by the river in Oregon which shares its name. The "Deschutes" bench showcases the beauty of raw teak through contemporary rustic design. The Deschutes River, named from the French phrase "le riviere des chutes” meaning “the River of Falls”, follows a path of untouched beauty in the Pacific Northwest ranging from the desert to forest while seamlessly enhancing the surrounding environments. The Deschutes Bench follows the tradition of its river namesake, using eco-friendly design and contrasting elements to add an enriching, timeless piece to any setting inside or outside your luxury mountain home." Michelle is interested in pursuing a career in the Furniture Industry.
